iFilm English TV to start airing ‘Avicenna’

Iranian series ‘Avicenna’ has been scheduled to go on iFilm English TV Channel’s playlist.

Airing of the historical series, directed by Keihan Rahgozar, will start on November 6, 2022.

‘Avicenna’, a prominent 11th century Iranian philosopher, scientist and physician, treats a leading politician of his time who apparently has been poisoned by his three sons.

This revelation unfolds a series of events that leads to the involvement of the then ruler of Iran, Sultan Mahmoud Ghaznavi.

On the cast list are Amin Tarokh, Enayat Bakhshi, Esmaeel Mehrabi, Changiz Vosouqi, Mohammad Abhari, Saeed Oveisi, Mohsen Sohrabi, Jamshid Layeq, Ezzatollah Moqbeli, Hossein Moheb-Ahari, and Mehri Vedadian.

‘Avicenna’, produced in 1985, is to replace ‘Gharib's World’, to be aired at 23:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 05:00, 11:00 and 17:00. The series is comprised of 11 episodes.
